Some of the most
common problems I have seen with the installed gutter systems in the area are: - inadequate
drainage
- not enough downspouts or improperly sized downspouts
- gutters
lacking the proper hardware or improper angle of the gutters i.e. the fascia was not at a 90 degree angle to the ground, and
may have required special wedges to secure the gutter at the proper angle.
- gutters are clogged
and should have had screens installed
- critical parts of the house that should have had gutter
installed did not have any gutter on them
- improperly installed seamless gutter, there was nothing
wrong with the gutter itself, it was not put on the structure correctly
- rusty leaky gutters
Whatever the problem, in most cases the seamless gutter itself does not need to be replaced. We can repair,
adjust and modify existing gutter systems to properly handle and drain the water off of your house. We even offer
trenching service, and we can pipe the water underground away from your house by connecting and excavating drain
tile directly to your downspouts. Some homes need low voltage heat tape, which looks basically like an electrical
extension cord. The heat tape warms the gutter enough to keep a passage open for drainage of the gutter system in times
of ice and snow. In most cases we can install the heat tape and will recommend it if we feel it is necessary. Sorry,
we cannot and will not repair PVC (plastic) gutter systems.
